A Nail Polish Favorite!

Hi dolls!! I recently bought this beautiful lilac nail polish by Sally Hansen Hard as Nails in Nail'd It. It is a gorgeous color and I wanted to review it and include pics for you all!
This color is beautiful and what you see in the bottle is what you will see on your nails, which is not always the case. Maybe it is just me, but when I pick out a gorgeous color and it looks 3 shades different on my nails I can't help but be a little disappointed. Anyways, you can see me hand modeling this color below with some pretty flowers and an actually lilac stem.

I actually took these pictures about five days after I had originally painted my nails and you can see there is barely any chipping! So I hope you check out this color loves, and tell me down below your favorite Sally Hansen color or your favorite nail polish brand! Thanks for reading!
XOXO,
Emily

Simple DIY Ring Holder

Hi darlings! So sorry for the long wait between my last post and this one. Starting next week I will be posting every Monday, I promise! :) Anyways today I have a super cute, 3 step, 3 ingredient DIY!

Here is what you will need:
1. Two tea plates
2. Hot glue gun with glue
3. A short candlestick

Here is what to do!
1. Glue the rim of the candle stick and stick it in the center of one of the tea plates

2. Glue the top part of the candle stick and put the other tea plate on top of that

And tadaaaaaa! I think this is so cute and dainty! You can put rings on it, bracelets, your most worn lipsticks, anything really! You could even use it as a serving platter! If you try this out ( which I hope  you do!) leave a pic and comment down below! Xo, Emily
And PS- here is a pic of my Fourth of July mani. I hope you all had an amazing fourth!

What I Wore #1: A Summer Day

Hi dollies!
Today's post is a "What I Wore" in which I will be writing and uploading pics of pieces from my closet and how I wore them. I love this, because I think it is so fun to make outfits and put them together. The one I have today is quite simple, but if you like these posts, please leave a comment down below and I can do them more frequently and with more detail.
 ..............................................................................................................
My top is from the brand Love Squared at Nordstrom Rack. My tank that I wore under, because the shirt is completely sheer/see through, is from Old Navy. If you're daring, or it is super hot, I would opt for a bando (did I spell that right?) or cami. My shorts are high waisted festival shorties from American Eagle. My shoes I forgot to photograph, however they were Steve Madden silver bow sandals (flat). Lastly, my hair bow I made myself and I love how it turned out with the little icecream cones. I think this outfit is perfect for summer, because of the bright top and it was very casual and cool (temperature wise). I hope this helped you out, or inspired you to reconsider something you don't normally wear in your closet! XOXO dolls; have a fabulous Wednesday night!

Vogue for Value

Hi ladies! Todays post is a new serious I will be starting consistently inconsistent. As in I will blog posts like this whenever the occasion arises. Anyways, today we will be trading our Vogue for some value; AKA- a style steal, bargain buy, etc :) I found these beautiful hairclips in clearance at Walgreens for only two dollars instead of six!! The brand is Karina French Couture as you can see and Ulta carries this brand as well. I love the bold red and blue gems and I think these will just be a super cute accessories to add to any outfit! I love deals and steals and I find them quite often actually. Some are more exciting than others (like a 59cent lace dress I found at Ross), but I hope you all enjoyed this post and found it helpful!

How to Rock that One Piece

Hi lovlies!! Today's post is super exciting for me and despite the title, completely worry free. If you're swimsuit style of choice is a bikini or tankini, I say work it! However, according to the Huffington Post: "In a poll of 2,321 women in the U.S., 53 percent said they plan on wearing a one-piece bathing suit on the beach this year, while 29 percent said they'll go with a tankini. Only 18 percent of women said they plan on donning a bikini this summer.  Of the women choosing one-pieces, 57 percent say they made that choice because 'it suits my body shape' versus nine percent who say they 'prefer this style of swimsuit.' "
Another wonderful benefit- one pieces will put the focus on your legs, elongating them and making them the focus. Also, with so many patterns, prints, styles and colors, the possibilities and fits are endless. See below for some tips and styles to try!
1. This is perfect for curvy girls who love prints and standing out! The style is so Marilyn Monroe-esque. The little cutout at the top will also put some focus on your chest.

2. This one is perfect for swimming laps and looking cute. This may also be a favorite with someone who has a  simple style, or a girly-girl because of the black color and white ruffle at the top. This is great for athletic, muscular girls with broad should, because the side shoulder and frilly detail make it more girly.

3. Number three is the ultimate piece to "slim" you. The black side strips will instantly make you look slimmer and even taller.

4. This one is my personal favorite because of the adorable peplum, neckline and colors/print. If your hips are your problem area, definitely check out peplums!

5. Number five is perfect to highlight your waistline and the black and white stripes will help slim you as well! This one is also good for busty girls, because the chest part is not super structured and is looser.

I hope this post helped you all out and gave you some motivation to give a one-piece a chance, or ideas if you already rock them! Thanks for reading loves!
XOXO,
Emily

Summer Style: Wedges

Hello again dolls! I hope you had a fabulous Father's Day spent with the king in your life. Today it's time for our second "Summer Style" post. It's time to take a moment to recognize how much a classic wedge can do. The outfit below recognizes how easily a wedge can help you achieve the "casual cute" look or give off the "I-look-adorable-but-didn't-try" vibe. Of course flats can help you do this as well; so if wedges aren't your shoe of choice, throw on some strappy flat sandals or nude flats and you're effortlessly put together.

These wedges pictured above are from Forever 21 and I love how the polka dot makes them different from others you would normally see. This adorable lace peplum from Dorothy Perkins and AE jean shorts complete the look. Get a little pop of color from this red bag too! I hope this little "summer style" post helped you all out and gave you reason to break out the wedges this weekend (as if you already haven't ;) )

Stay classy dolls! PS. How perfect is that lipstick ring for only $9 from renttherunway.com?? Too cute.

Emily

My Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale Haul!

Hi lovelies! Today I have a haul for you! I went to the Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale the other day (also commonly referred to as the "Hello Yellow" Sale). I got a ton of yummy, exciting things for up to over 75% off!

As you can see I got three baby candles, two wallflower scent re-filler packs (two in each), a body scrub, lotion, body crème, body spray and hand sanitizer. I was kind of disappointed in the candle selection I found at my store. When I went about two weeks ago they had so many I was lusting after, but didn't buy because I wanted to get everything altogether. Anyways, the three I got were the only three that interested me. Gelato, Espresso (my personal fav) and the extremely popular Market Peach. However, if you like dessert scents such as Mint-Chocolate Chip, Cookie, Apple Crumble, etc. definitely check it out; my store had a ton of those. Another disappointment was that I could not find the pumpkin spice body products I saw online. So, if you can't find something in stores, check online. I love everything I picked up. Vanilla-tini is a long time favorite that bring back really good memories. Also, Honey Sweetheart is absolutely delicious. It smells like sweet honey with hints of floral. The Daisy Dreamgirl and Venice Dolce Berry are different, but both smell berry fruitalicious. (LOL).  Just a side note: I prefer the body crèmes to the lotions; if you've only tried the regular lotions, pick up a body crème while they are on sale. You will be able to tell the difference.

I hope this haul helped all you sweet readers out and gave some new ideas/products to try! Thanks for reading!

Emily
