How to Wear Black and White in Summer!

Hello my darling! Today I am going to be showing you some black and white pieces from my own closet, and how I made them summer appropriate! Everyone has some black and white in their closet, but you may not know how to wear them together without looking like a chess board, or how to summer-fy them! Well keep scrolling to see my pieces and how I styled them!
I paired a black maxi skirt with my too-sassy-for-your Brandy Melville crop top and some gold gladiator inspired sandals from H&M.
This beautiful dress with the interesting back is from American Eagle. Bonus: got it on clearance for like $17!

Lastly, my black crop top is from Charlotte Russe and my polka dot high-waisted skirt is from H&M. Also, I accessorized with long necklaces and some bracelets/rings!

I hope this gave you all some inspiration! Leave me comment and pictures down below, along with any other questions you have!

Emily

What I Wore #1: A Summer Day

Hi dollies!
Today's post is a "What I Wore" in which I will be writing and uploading pics of pieces from my closet and how I wore them. I love this, because I think it is so fun to make outfits and put them together. The one I have today is quite simple, but if you like these posts, please leave a comment down below and I can do them more frequently and with more detail.
 ..............................................................................................................
My top is from the brand Love Squared at Nordstrom Rack. My tank that I wore under, because the shirt is completely sheer/see through, is from Old Navy. If you're daring, or it is super hot, I would opt for a bando (did I spell that right?) or cami. My shorts are high waisted festival shorties from American Eagle. My shoes I forgot to photograph, however they were Steve Madden silver bow sandals (flat). Lastly, my hair bow I made myself and I love how it turned out with the little icecream cones. I think this outfit is perfect for summer, because of the bright top and it was very casual and cool (temperature wise). I hope this helped you out, or inspired you to reconsider something you don't normally wear in your closet! XOXO dolls; have a fabulous Wednesday night!

Summer Style: Wedges

Hello again dolls! I hope you had a fabulous Father's Day spent with the king in your life. Today it's time for our second "Summer Style" post. It's time to take a moment to recognize how much a classic wedge can do. The outfit below recognizes how easily a wedge can help you achieve the "casual cute" look or give off the "I-look-adorable-but-didn't-try" vibe. Of course flats can help you do this as well; so if wedges aren't your shoe of choice, throw on some strappy flat sandals or nude flats and you're effortlessly put together.

These wedges pictured above are from Forever 21 and I love how the polka dot makes them different from others you would normally see. This adorable lace peplum from Dorothy Perkins and AE jean shorts complete the look. Get a little pop of color from this red bag too! I hope this little "summer style" post helped you all out and gave you reason to break out the wedges this weekend (as if you already haven't ;) )

Stay classy dolls! PS. How perfect is that lipstick ring for only $9 from renttherunway.com?? Too cute.
Xox,
Emily
